Seven growing columns
Here are the details for this mode. Only the bottom card of each initial column is face up. The seventh opening column contains seven cards. The opening tableau contains 28 cards altogether. The first opening column contains one card and each following column contains one more.
The remaining deck
Spiderette begins with 24 cards in the stock. The final stock deal contains three cards for the first three columns. The stock is used in deals of seven, seven, seven and three cards. A full stock deal adds one card to each of the seven columns.
Build down by rank
The following details apply here. Any exposed card may enter an empty column. A destination card may belong to a different suit. A single exposed card can land on another exposed card exactly one rank higher. A King can enter only an empty column because no rank is higher.
Move a sequence
A few details help explain this feature. The selected group's leading card determines which destination rank is legal. A mixed-suit descending sequence cannot move as one group. A movable group must be face up and descend in one suit. Selecting a shorter matching segment can reveal an available group move.
Open the hidden layout
The following details apply here. An exposed hidden card can create another possible destination. Undo restores a hidden card's earlier state when the revealing action is reversed. Moving all exposed cards off a hidden card turns that hidden card face up. No separate click is needed to reveal a newly uncovered card.

A complete face-up run is removed automatically from the bottom of a column. One run is needed for spades, hearts, clubs and diamonds. A qualifying run contains thirteen cards of one suit from King down to Ace. Four collected runs account for every card in the deck.
