Read the opening cards
Here are the details for this mode. All cards in the last three columns are face up. The first three cards in each of the first four columns are face down. Three cards remain in the stock. Each opening column contains seven cards for a total of 49 tableau cards.
Build in the same suit
Here are the details for this mode. A King cannot land on another card because no higher rank exists. A seven of hearts can land on an exposed eight of hearts. A seven of hearts cannot land on an eight of spades. A moved group's leading card must land on a card exactly one rank higher in the same suit.
Move exposed groups
A few details help explain this feature. The leading selected card still has to meet the destination rule. Any face-up card can be selected together with every card beneath it. The selected cards do not need to descend in rank to travel together. The selected cards do not need to share a suit to travel together.
The empty-column rule
Keep these points in mind. Cards beneath a moved King do not need to be in sequence. A group led by a lower rank cannot enter an empty column. An empty column accepts a King or a group led by a King. An empty column is therefore less flexible than an empty column in ordinary Spider.
Reveal the hidden cards
Undo restores the earlier hidden-card arrangement when the move is reversed. The next hidden card is revealed automatically. An exposed card can carry the cards beneath it when its own destination is legal. Removing all face-up cards above a hidden card turns that hidden card face up.
Use the stock once
Keep these points in mind. Dealing places a face-up card on each of the first three columns. This Scorpion version permits its stock deal when columns are empty. The stock contains one final deal of three cards. There are no further stock cards after the three-card deal.
Collect ordered runs
Here are the details for this mode. The game removes a qualifying run automatically from the bottom of a column. Moving an unordered group does not make that group a completed sequence. A completed run must descend from King to Ace in one suit. All thirteen cards in a collected run must be face up.
Plan around blocked cards
